Henning Fine Art is pleased to offer the sale of 18 individual concept drawings by the 20th century industrial designer icon!

These mixed media drawings are executed in watercolor, ink and pencil each bearing a paper label low right reading; “Raymond Loewy & William Snaith, inc. - 110 East 59th Street - New York, New York 10022”.

Executed on thin paper these drawings have been preserved in their original condition mounted to board. Please enjoy browsing this fine selection of rare works and feel free to reach out with any questions.




Paper Labels & Reference Numbers

Each of these drawings were part of the same project for Loewy & Snaith and are numbered 1 - 19 low right. They also bear the same paper label (as seen left) and then verso a reference number written in blue ink (example shown right).

The following drawings show multiple examples of entire vehicles as well as featuring front windshields, tail ends, roofs and door mechanics. This wonderful image depicts a full vehicle showing a futuristic curved windshield, fin and rounded roof. Two black stripes go down its hood matching the bumper below. The car also shows an interestingly designed headlights. The condition of the drawing is excellent while the board shows some toning and minor loss/imperfections around its edges. The adhesive is visible through the thin sheet and the image may show minor waviness.

This image is noted #1 as seen low right. This image has never been framed or displayed. The adhesive on these images are loose and or partially detached.

This image depicts a full vehicle showing a futuristic curved windshield, tall fin atop its roof. A red line is painted down the lower portion of the car which matches the red lined tires. I particularly enjoy the two figures loosely painted into the image. The condition of the drawing is excellent while the board shows some toning and minor loss/imperfections around its edges.

This image depicts a full vehicle showing a futuristic curved windshield, offset fin atop its roof and raise to the left side of the hood. I particularly enjoy offset fin followed by the black stripe matching its partially black hood. Loewy was known for an offset design like that of the Avanti hood bulge. The condition of the drawing is excellent while the board shows some toning and minor loss/imperfections around its edges.

This image depicts a full vehicle showing a futuristic curved windshield and offset fin atop its roof. An interesting shape makes its backside rather concave. I particularly enjoy the two figures loosely painted into the image. Loewy was known for his offset design like the hood bulge of the Avanti. The condition of the drawing is excellent while the board shows some toning and minor loss/imperfections around its edges.
