Up for sale is a beautiful original oil painting depicting the stunning Munich Germany bustling Marienplatz plaza with the towing Frauenkirche cathedral in the background. This painting has an incredible amount of detail which can not only be seen in the impressive architecture but the also in the countless subjects painted in the busy square. People are seen walking hand in hand, buying and selling at the umbrella covered stands and coming in and out of buildings. The semi heavily applied brushstrokes can be seen and their is a nice slightly impressionistic feel which adds to all the movement within the picture.

This is oil executed on board and is illegibly signed in the lower right corner in very small lettering. The name appears to read "Ketterling" but I am unsure, their are no other markings or date. The board measures approximately 9.5 x 7.25 inches while it rests in a appealing walnut finish wood frame that measures 15 x 12.5 inches. The painting is in good condition but their are some cosmetic blemishes seen in the blue sky and small knicks and or scratches on the frame. This is just a gem of a painting and depicting an iconic part of Munich Germany rarely seen in this form.
