Up for sale is a beautiful antique early 19th century Hudson River Valley oil painting executed on canvas unsigned resting in its original gold wood frame. This painting depicts a highly romanticized landscape with two small figures in the lower left portion by the waters edge under the tall arching single mountain in the background. This painting is unsigned and carries with it some tremendous age dating to the first half of the 1800's. Measuring with its gold frame a total of 35.5 x 25.5 inches the canvas measures 30 x 20 inches. In overall good condition this painting does have some repairs / patches seen on verso and a heavy but appealing overall craquelure. This work is ready to be hung and enjoyed in ones home or collection.
