Up for sale is an absolutely gorgeous etching/aquatint by the fantastic 20th-century artist Robert Von Neumann known for his work depicting fishermen. This etching is entitled “The Six Net Menders” showing exactly that, six men preparing their nets for when they get back onto the great lakes. Dating to circa 1950 the condition of the print is excellent showing minimal toning to the sheet and a couple of spots of foxing present in the margin as it rests double matted in a fine gold and black wood frame. There is a gallery paper verso from “Fredericks Gallery” Wauwatosa, Wisconsin. This is one of two matching works I currently have by Von Neumann, if interested feel free to send me a message.
