Luis Gowland Moreno was born in 1902 and was most active during his painting life in Argentina. The majority of his works depicted urban scenes and city street scenes such as this. This original oil painting is a stellar example of his works and depicts downtown Buenos Aires in a wonderful impressionist fashion with every brushstroke visible. The quality of this painting is second to none and really attests to the ability and talent that Moreno possessed. Executed on artist board that measures 15 x 18 1/2 inches this painting will fit well onto any wall in whichever desired space. This painting is in excellent condition with minor surface dirt and would benefit from a nice light cleaning. In the lower right hand corner 3 inches above the date of "58" is a nice thumb print from the artist himself that has been solidified within this piece adding a nice extra unique feature.
