Available now is a truly stunning hand color lithograph depicting the Great Exhibition of 1851 held in the Crystal Palace in London, England. This 1851 event was recorded in paintings and then as a portfolio of lithographs in 1854 by a couple of different well-known English printmakers/painters. This image was created by the talented Joseph Nash who also signed the work in pencil as seen low right “J. Nash”. The print has retained fantastic original color which is apparent in the bright reds, yellows, and blues which so easily fade over time. This large format print is an exquisitely beautiful example of this fine lithograph with the only imperfection being some light foxing seen in the margins. The image shows an incredibly intricate interior packed with thousands of people at the China, India and Persia booths. The images provided accurately represent the quality, condition and aesthetic beauty of this fine mid 19th century print but if you have any questions please feel free to ask prior to purchasing!
