His curly blond hair, blue eyes and rosy cheeks are all so wonderfully executed giving the painting almost a more photo like quality. Executed in oil on panel the painting measures 16.75 x 12.25 inches while its unique original wood frame measures 25 x 20.5 inches. Pencil inscription verso states “Richard D. League - 1 1/2 yrs - Painted by (Father) - T. Jefferson League”.
