Up for sale is an exceptional pen and ink/watercolor painting by the celebrated Balinese master I Gusti Ketut Kobot depicting Bhimasena (?) with Ghatotkacha. Partially legible title verso “Bhimasena (?) with Ghatotkacha - I Gusti Ketut - Pengoseka”, this work of art shows the two Hindu figures outside of a temple on the waters edge. Signed “I Gutsi Ketut” verso, this painting is composed of mostly black pen and ink with fine gold decoration to both figures. Unframed, this painting is worked on paper measuring 22 x 14.75 inches and while in good condition does show some foxing and some light wear to the sheets edges. The overall quality and level of detail is absolutely exquisite making this an even more rare and fine example by the 20th century Indonesian master.
