Up for sale is an exceptionally rare Laura Gilpin silver gelatin photograph depicting a lovely female portrait titled “Old Lady Long Salt” from the Enduring Navaho series. The photograph measures 10 x 8 inches while its original matting measured 14 x 11 inches bearing the artists signature “Laura Gilpin” low right. The original paper label is present verso reading “LG - A photograph by Laura Gilpin Santa Few, New Mexico - Old Lady Long Salt 1950 - From the Enduring Navaho, The University of Texas Press”. The condition of this photograph is excellent, appears to have never been framed and displayed, while its matting shows some minimal discoloration.
