Up for sale is a wonderful oil painting by the American illustrator Homer Hill depicting Maryland Kennel Club’s 1st place Baltimore winner, a white and brown airedale terrier. Signed and dated 1944 low left this work is executed in oil and finely depicts the proud standing canine next to his blue and yellow silk 1st place ribbon. The detail and overall execution is impressive to say the least from the fine work of the dog hair to the exquisite ribbon and even the background which shows a natural wood grain. The painting measures 8 x 10 inches and is in fine condition free from any damage while its original frame does show some cosmetic blemishes. This is quite a rare painting by Homer Hill with quality oil paintings scarcely making themselves available. The images provided accurately represent the quality, condition and aesthetic beauty of this original Hill painting but if you have any questions please feel free to ask prior to purchasing!
