This German born artist has always had a strong love and passion for the American West spending half of every year traveling states like Montana and Wyoming painting these striking compositions. Known for his strong use of color this work is painted with an eye popping array of bright pastels that so perfectly captures the beautiful American West. The sky is blazing orange and yellow slowly fading to pink and so casts the colors on the two leather teepee’s in the foreground. Executed with a palette knife this work shows each and every heavy application of paint giving the work a wonderful visible texture and sense of captured motion.
