Up for sale is a tremendous original comic illustration drawing from the famous American cartoonist Chester Gould and his cartoon Dick Tracy. Signed low center, this work is executed in ink on paper and is unframed measuring 16.25 x 22.75 inches. This is a fine example from the artist and cartoon depicting a great series of panels including Dick, baseball and what appears to be Charlie Chaplin. Published in the Chicago Tribune in 1976 the small paper copyright is present in the third to last panel. The condition of this ink drawing is good showing appropriate wear for its age, medium and commercial use including toning and creases original to the production.
