Up for sale is a stunning large oil painting on canvas by the talented 20th century English female painter Anne Harcourt, daughter of RA painter George Harcourt. Executed in oil on canvas this painting shows a nearly panoramic view of what appears to be a Southern California or Hawaiian coastal landscape. The foreground is decorated with dense green vegetation and pink hibiscus flowers while large homes are seen on the hill tops in the distance. A few figures are seen standing on the beach with a large view of the ocean and cloud filled sky over head. Arguably the nicest work I have seen by the artist; this is an overall gorgeous painting showing excellent brushwork and use of color creating a realistic impressionist coastal view. This painting is quite large measuring 26 x 46 inches while the white wood frame measures 52.25 x 32.25 inches. The condition overall is good but the canvas does show a pretty heavy craquelure and some possible minor surface imperfections.
