Up for sale is an impressive original oil painting by the Italian artist Andrea Fortini. Executed in oil on canvas this larger oil painting depicts a fabulous Italian harbor featuring a group of fisherman in the foreground while in the near distance is the seaside town with its stacked buildings. In the distance is more coastline painted in a fine purple and pink tones which are wonderfully soft and attractive to the eye. Painted in an impressionist style with thick visible brushstrokes gives this work an excellent sense of captured motion with its wonderful texture. Not only is the texture excellent but also color choice as noted in the soft tones of the distant land. This work is signed in the low left corner “A. Fortini” and in excellent condition free from any punctures, rips or tears. The canvas shows a slight discoloration from some surface grime and minor waviness in the top corners but is overall a fine painting and superb example from this Italian painter.
