Harry Bright is a well known listed late 19th century British artist known for his realist depictions of small delicate birds. This original gouache and watercolor depicts a red breasted robin and cute wren in winter looking down towards a trap baited with seed. The level of detail is outstanding with every feather distinguishable on its body. The gouache is nicely applied especially to the snow laden leaves and branches giving it the work a greater appearance of depth. Signed in the lower right corner "HY Bright" this unframed painting measures approximately 12.25 x 10 inches. The painting is executed on paper laid down to a thin board and while in good condition shows minimal loss and or minor surface abraisions. The images provided accurately represent the quality, condition and aesthetic beauty of this fine ornithological painting by Harry Bright but if you have any questions please feel free to ask prior to purchasing!
