Marion Wesson currently resides in Los Angeles and has been a professional artist exhibiting her works since 1999. Her paintings have phenomenal textures created by layered mediums and intense colors. This work was created in 2004 and is titled "Untitled 5" as seen in pencil on the stretcher. The medium is rather unique and intensely attractive to the eye as it is acrylic paint on paper with hand threading laid onto canvas. Composed of thousands of strands of thread the time required and attention to detail is worthy to marvel at.The texturing makes anyone who passes want to stop and touch while the color makes it impossible not to notice. Measuring approximately 28 x 18 inches this work comes unframed. The condition is overall good but their are come knick's around the edges most notable in the top left and low right corners. This is a rare and early work by Wesson deserving of a good collection.
