Up for sale is a stunning turn of the century carved wood New England fisherman bust in wonderful original condition. This bust is all hand carved and dates to the early 1900's. The construction is made from multiple pieces of wood that were combined and then carved, the faint lines can be seen of the individual pieces. This is signed in pen on the base which can be seen in the 2nd photo but unfortunately over time has faded and become illegible.

This bust measures approximately 13.25 inches tall and 9.75 inches at its widest. The original base is separated from the head as it was once attached visible in the final photo and measures 8.25 x 7.75 inches. The overall quality and level of execution is outstanding! The face of this fisherman is rugged and tough but shows some sweet soft emotion in his face and eyes. This bust is in excellent condition but has a nice patina and may show minor cosmetic blemishes and or handling wear.
