Ellen Negley is a talented Florida watercolorist from West Palm Beach and is known for her bright colorful depictions of art deco Miami and beach front condos. Her art so well represents the South Florida feel and emotion that it has been picked up by the clothing retailer Bealls. Her original compositions now are used to decorate everything from shirts, pillows, plates etc...

This is a fine original watercolor purchased directly from her just a few years ago. Depicting a couple of colorful beach condos to the left we get to nicely the the beach and water to the left. Ellen is a fan of painting figures into her paintings and here she has placed them on the shore about to pull two small boats out to the water. The condition is absolutely mint with no signs of wear or damage to the watercolor. The attractive gold wood gallery frame does have a few knicks but could easily be fixed up with a little gold paint. Measuring quite large the frame is approximately 48 x 38 inches while the watercolor measures 30 1/2 x 22 1/2 inches. I think the photographs speak for themselves showing the electric color-filled Florida beach scene. The two center palms remind of the trees from Dr. Seuss's The Lorax with their multi colored soft texture.
