Up for sale is an absolutely phenomenal original watercolor by the very talented Michigan artist Steve Herbert French. Depicting many outdoor and nature compositions this hunting related watercolor is a rare and absolute treat to view. Entitled “First Light” this work depicts the interior of a hunting shed storing many duck decoys and a nice wooden crate of Winchester shotgun shells. An open window allows us to have a nice view of the outdoors showing a colorful landscape of dry and dead grass, a flowing river and a group of ducks flying overhead in the distance. The overall level of execution and color use of more than impressive making this work an absolute masterpiece from the native Michigander. The condition of the painting is stellar, free from any damage or wear and the work has been beautifully housed in a double matted rich wood frame. A vintage artist biography pamphlet is included attached verso.
