Up for sale is an absolutely stunning turn of the century etching of the interior of the famous Parisian basilica "St. Etienne du Mont". This etching is of large format measuring approximately 16 x 24 inches while the even nicer gold gesso wood frame measures 27.75 x 36.5 inches. Signed in the lower right corner "Hedley Fitton" this print is in overall excellent condition given its age and size with the only real drawback being expected / normal toning. No rips, tears or imperfections outside of the toning are visible. The detail to the cathedrals interior is incredible from the stained glass window to the figures present in the low foreground. The frame does show loss of some gesso and cosmetic imperfections with a slight gap in the low left corner. The glass is original and wavy dating well over 100 years old. The images provided accurately represent the quality, condition and aesthetic beauty of this fine print of the famous French cathedral but if you have any questions please feel free to ask prior to purchasing!
