Up for sale is a superb original landscape watercolor by the 19th century English artist Charles Edward Flower. This English landscape once again shows a heavy floral presence in the foreground using the natural world of trees in the foreground to frame the distant rolling pastoral hills and river that runs through it. The red, pink and white flowers are what the eye is first drawn to which then naturally move upwards to the serene distant hills. This work is signed and dated in the lower right corner and overall a beautiful work and excellent example from Flower. The condition shows some discoloration in the sky and minimal foxing but overall very solid and highly appealing when hung on the wall. The images provided accurately represent the quality, condition and aesthetic beauty of this fine English watercolor but if you have any questions please feel free to ask prior to purchasing!
