Armand Henrion was born May 30th, 1875 in the small Belgium town of Liege, and died in Paris in 1958. Armand while he was born in Belgium was considered a painter from the French School where he lived and became a citizen. He became wildly known for his portraits and figures in impressionists style especially of his clowns which were self portraits of himself. He had many exhibitions in French salons and now his pieces are quite a nice find bringing in high prices with every auction they show up in.

This etching of two clowns smoking is a great original hand colored etching from Armand Henrion. While his main subjects were clowns most etchings only have one clown in the composition so it's nice that this has two. They etching is in wonderful condition with one slight spot on the left center just on the inside of the plate mark and slight toning to the paper. The frame is original and quite nice as it has three recess along the edge that are different colors (green and red). Their is slight wear to the frame which is to be expected but this piece is ready to be bought and hung! It's a overall delightful hand colored etching by the great Armand Henrion signed in pencil.

No glass is included with the frame, it has been removed.
