Viktor Shvaiko was born in the small remote village of Altai, Russia in 1965. At the age of 12 he joined a junior art college where he began his journey as an artist but it was not until the late 1990's once he had served in the army and escaped from Russia did his story begin. Shvaiko fled Russia and made it all the way to Italy on foot with only a bag on his back of his belongings sneakingg past customs guards and borders. Here in Italy Viktor started selling his paintings on the street of famous cafes and street scenes for as little as 100 dollars. It was not until the early 1900's when an English speaking dealer found a stable demand for Viktors paintings which finally led him to being able to move the the States with his wife and daughter. Since then he has been a widely appreciated and enjoyed gallery artist depicting stunning European street scenes similar to this one entitled "Autumn in Paris".

This large hand embellished serigraph on canvas is an absolutely stunning work of art that you don't get the full effect unless your viewing it in person. The canvas measures approximately 50 x 30 inches while the magnificent gold wood frame measures 64 x 44 1/2 inches. The frame was upgraded by the original buyer of this painting. Entitled "Autumn in Paris" depicts the famous Petit Machon cafe with a pharmacy to its right. Their is a beautiful art nouveau painting above the pharmacy and the ground is scattered with fallen yellow and gold leaves indicating the season of fall. This serigraph is signed in the lower right hand corner and part of a limited edition of 360. A very nice aspect of this piece of art is that the work is hand embellished by Viktor and seen in the up-close images provided you can see the many thick heavy brushstrokes he added to the overall compositions. Viktor was not shy when it came to adding these brushstrokes by hand really giving this painting depth and texture.

It is an astounding work of art and one that will just change the atmosphere in a room. I am unable to ship this painting due to its large size but I am able to drop this off with a 3rd party shipped if you want to arrange that.
